1 Wired speakers
Wired speakers are the traditional and most common way of connecting speakers to an audio source, such as a TV, receiver, or amplifier. They use cables to transmit the sound signal from the source to the speakers, which are usually placed around the room. The main advantages of wired speakers are that they offer high-quality sound, reliability, and compatibility with most devices and systems. The main disadvantages are that they require more installation work, create cable clutter, and limit your speaker placement options.

In considering whether to opt for wired or wireless speakers, prioritize the cost-effectiveness of wired options. They are typically cheaper upfront, provide stable audio transmission without interference, boast lower latency for synchronized audio and video playback, and offer unlimited playback time without the need for battery charging or replacement. Additionally, wired speakers are inherently more reliable due to their direct connection, and they offer a more secure audio transmission, as they are not susceptible to interference or hacking.

2 Wireless speakers
Wireless speakers are the modern and convenient way of connecting speakers to an audio source, without using any cables. They use technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or infrared to transmit the sound signal from the source to the speakers, which can be placed anywhere within the wireless range. The main advantages of wireless speakers are that they offer flexibility, portability, and ease of use. The main disadvantages are that they may suffer from interference, latency, or battery issues, and that they may not be compatible with some devices or systems.

Wireless speakers utilize Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or infrared technology to connect to audio sources without cables, offering flexibility and portability. However, they may encounter issues like interference, latency, or battery limitations. Compatibility with certain devices or systems could also be a concern. Despite drawbacks, wireless speakers provide convenient audio solutions in modern settings.

3 Sound quality
One of the most important factors to consider when choosing between wired and wireless speakers is the sound quality. Generally speaking, wired speakers tend to deliver better sound quality than wireless speakers, because they have a more stable and direct connection to the audio source, and they can handle more power and bandwidth. Wireless speakers, on the other hand, may lose some sound quality due to compression, interference, or signal degradation, especially if they use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. However, the difference in sound quality may not be noticeable to most listeners, unless they have a very high-end system or a very discerning ear.

4 Cost and installation
Another factor to consider when choosing between wired and wireless speakers is the cost and installation. Wired speakers are usually cheaper than wireless speakers, because they have fewer components and less technology. However, wired speakers may also incur additional costs for the cables, connectors, and installation tools, and they may require more time and effort to set up and hide the wires. Wireless speakers are usually more expensive than wired speakers, because they have more features and functionality. However, wireless speakers may also save you money and hassle in the long run, because they are easier to install and move around.

5 Compatibility and convenience
The final factor to consider when choosing between wired and wireless speakers is the compatibility and convenience. Wired speakers are compatible with most audio sources and systems, as long as they have the same type and number of inputs and outputs. Wired speakers are also more reliable and consistent, because they are less prone to interference or connection issues. Wireless speakers are compatible with some audio sources and systems, but not all. Wireless speakers may require additional devices or adapters to work with certain sources or systems, such as a wireless transmitter or receiver. Wireless speakers are also more convenient and flexible, because they can be placed anywhere within the wireless range, and they can be paired with multiple devices or speakers.

Bluetooth speakers will have latency and not good for lectures in a small hall because the listener will hear actual voice and delayed voice from Bluetooth speaker. The latency is not zero.
