Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Thursday approved a proposal to subsidise surface seeders under the crop residue management (CRM) scheme. Surface seeder, developed by Punjab Agricultural University, is attached to a combine harvester for ensuring simultaneous paddy harvesting and wheat sowing operation.
